Social Media like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. are fast becoming an integral part of a growing majority of Citizens daily lives at home and at work. "...the explosive growth of Social Media, coupled with a push for government to use the Internet to be more open, responsive and accountable (GOV 2.0) is leveling the playing field and revolutionizing Public/Private Sector collaboration. This article was written for the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) www.sbam.org. SBAM is a state-based association that focuses solely on serving the needs of Michigan’s small business community. Although some of the references in the article are SBAM/Michigan-related, the core content is applicable to the relationship between government and small businesses everywhere.
