Professional courtesy extends farther than just with elected officials and the public. ICMA members are expected to inform their colleagues about contacts they have some other elected officials as well as not to seek a position when the incumbent manager has not been informed that his/her services are no longer desired. Read these two scenarios that provide advice on what ICMA members should do in terms of remaining professional courteous.
