Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Partnership

In the City of Fort Collins and the County of Larimer, mental health and substance abuse services had four problems: management by crisis, lack of coordinated care, insurance limitations, and program recipients rarely received help because they were shuffled from agency to agency. The City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado State University, local hospitals, schools, housing agencies, public health agencies, and private therapists then formed a partnership to improve mental health and substance abuse services.
