Clark County’s Safe Futures program was created to improve the County’s child welfare system. The previous system had problems with child fatalities, overcrowding in county facilities, and keeping pace with increasing demands for services. The Safe Futures program focuses on: requiring comprehensive reports for child maltreatment, developing responsive services for children and families, and providing support for children and family physical and mental health.
