Garden City’s Citizen Based Capital Improvement Planning Process

Garden City had a problem with informing the City Commission about capital improvement projects because they were not informed about staff’s perspective or about what the public wanted. So the City developed the Citizen Based Capital Improvement Planning Process that gave the commission needed information and allowed for greater public participation in capital improvement projects.
