Silicon Valley - Palo Alto - California As a guest of the city of Palo Alto, one can only marvel at the level of intellectual capital in a city founded on the academic excellence of Stanford University and the home of HP, Facebook, and Tesla. So my impressions of USA have been all positive, as Washington DC has been a joy to visit and explore. Bethesda is a very relaxed and well healed Maryland commute into the Capitals downtown, the metro an efficient, simple and clean service. The impression of Americans in the Capital, is that they are well educated, polite and a pleasure to be around. Now to the 12 other climate change fellows...I am sad not to be spending more time with my Australian, Indonesian, Chinese and kiwi peers. We have all got on well and really enjoyed talking to
