Blogs / Sustainable Communities / Announcing ICMA's Sustainable Communities Blog
June 1, 2012 | 12:00 AM
ICMA's June 2012 edition of PM Magazine featured several articles on sustainability, written by ICMA members and other local government professionals and stakeholders. The purpose of this special edition was to recapture some of the high ground on the topic of creating more sustainable communities. ICMA and our partners with the Alliance for Innovation have created the Local Government Knowledge Network which provides a wealth of information on topics such as active living, brownfields cleanup and redevelopment, energy, economic development, smart growth and much more. And there are multiple channels for conveying information to interested parties from topic pages to group discussions to blogs and wikis.
ICMA's Center for Sustainable Communities is pleased to announce the startup of our first "sustainable communities" blog site and we have lined up a number of experts, writers and commentators to provide readers with posts, updates and columns on the issues of sustainability an the intersection with local government management. More to come so stay tuned.
