Blogs / Tad McGalliard / Sustainable Communities Advisory Committee Meeting
16 September 2011 | 5:23 PM
On Sunday morning, September 18th, from 10:00 till 11:00am, stop by room 202D to learn more about ICMA's applied research, outreach, and training activities focused on sustainability. During the meeting you'll hear about ongoing efforts funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as well as get a copy of the new report, "Breaking New Ground: Promoting Environmental and Energy Programs in Local Government."
This report, co-authored by Professor James Svara (Arizona State University), Anna Read (ICMA) and Evelina Moulder (ICMA) was generously supported by the IBM Center for the Business of Government and is based on the findings from ICMA's 2010 survey on local government sustainabilty policies and programs. ICMA will be conducting follow up research with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, beginning in October 2011.
So come on by room 202D for the annual open meeting of ICMA members and strategic partners with interests in creating more sustainable communities.
I am looking for other cities or counties who have some past experience in the field of compressed natural gas. Any suggestions? My questions have to do with warranties as conversions of vehicles take place. Thanks.
