Hi,
As one of the 10 Climate Change Fellows participating in the Climate Change Fellowship Program it has been a great start to the week connecting with the other fellows on the exchange from china, australia and japan. I will be spending my time in El Paso from next Monday. Already we have learnt so much about what each other are doing in our respective cities. There is a lot. Many thanks to the Department of State for funding this amazing opportunity and to ICMA, our hosts.
After the last three days of using the metro it feel like we now have our bearings are exploring more and more of the city in the evenings. Washington is varied and at times goes from new urban villages, to historic districts, to feeling like a business park, to the grandeur of the national monuments and landmarks. Wireless internet is EVERYWHERE. It seems that nearly every person on the metro has an iphone, ipad or other smart phone. Connections.
