Edit your profile- Share details about your background and career.  Upload a photo of yourself.  Select topics that you are particularly interested in.  The Knowledge Network will be a friendly community.  Friends know each other. 

Contribute- The Knowledge Network will thrive if everyone provides engaging content and discussion.  Share your knowledge and best practices and help us improve local government.  Start a blog to house regular posts.     

Invite Others- Spread the word of the Knowledge Network to your friends and professional colleagues.  The value of the Knowledge Network grows with each new participant.

Remember that this is a community of people- Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Advertising/Solicitation- Posting for the sake of advertising is not allowed.  Posts of an advertising nature will be removed.  If you are a service provider, become engaged in the community and add value.  Sharing of strong content will do plenty to market your services. 

Power-Posting- Power-posting is when participants post “empty” messages to the Knowledge Network, in order to simply increase their number of posts more quickly. Examples of power-posting are replying to a question with only “LOL” or “I agree”, but failing to contribute anything further to the discussion. If you reply to a message, make sure you have something to say that adds to the discussion.
