Active managers who have begun to consider retirement as well as “encore” managers who have already begun their next life phase are invited to attend a Senior Manager/Encore Manager Support Network Meeting and Wine and Cheese Gathering on Friday, May 20. The Northern California meeting will be held at the Livermore Library. The Southern California event will be conducted at Costa Mesa Community Recreation Center. The support network meeting will be conducted from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by the wine and cheese networking opportunity.
The purpose of these two informal gatherings is to learn from each other, network and support colleagues as we all explore “encore” options.
The meeting in Livermore will feature three Peer Coaching Tables focusing on Consulting, Interim Management, Teaching, and Leisure/Volunteer Opportunities. The Peer Coaching Tables will be facilitated by an encore manager who has experience in the topic area. The event in Costa Mesa will be highlighted by a panel of encore managers on the same topics.
The gatherings are hosted by the Cal-ICMA Senior Manager/Encore Manager Committee. This is part of a series of support network meetings in both the north and the south.
