For the sixth consecutive year, Bryan’s purchasing department received the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Purchasing Institute.
The award is given to organizations that demonstrate excellence in procurement by obtaining a high score on a rating of standardized criteria. The program is designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the procurement function.
Bryan was one of only 59 cities in the U.S. and one of 28 government agencies to receive the award. The City’s purchasing department is led by Joan Finkes.
