The Community Services Division of the City of Rockville's Department of Recreation and Parks is accepting referrals from residents in need of air conditioners.
The Community Services Division receives donated air conditioning units, which are then made available to City residents who do not have air conditioning available in their homes. Currently, several units are available for distribution
The elderly and families with small children will be served first.
The Community Services Division will deliver the unit to the resident at no cost.
The Division of Community Services provides for the well-being of individuals and families through the identification of the human service needs of all residents; monitoring of human service programs funded by the City of Rockville; delivery of prevention and intervention programs and services for youth and families. Their mission is to assure opportunities for all persons to live in human dignity and to develop their capabilities fully; and to promote and enhance individual self-sufficiency.
